A study in 2018 by Johns Hopkins claims that more than 250,000 people in the U.S. die every year from medical errors. Other reports claim the numbers to be as high as 440,000. Medical errors are the third-leading cause of death in the United States after heart disease and cancer. Roughly 12,000,000 Americans are misdiagnosed each year. It is estimated that 80% of all Medical bills contain errors costing Americans $210,000,000,000 annually.

After DL became a victim of a medical error from a minor elective surgery and witnessed several clients and friends whose lives were unnecessarily cut short at their prime, DL’s mission is to empower people to take control of their own health and healing became personal and critical. 

DL took her 32 years of experience as a patient, a Physical Therapist, Exercise Physiologist, and Strength and Conditioning Coach combined it with research and created Fixuonline’s Fit over Forty Correcticise program.  DL incorporates a Total body Transformation, like a renovation for your structure, dispels the fallacies of fitness (more is NOT better) and provides simple, safe, education, resources and teaching to individuals so they can not only Release, Realign, and  Rebalance their bodies, but also Relearn proper movement so that “life becomes their exercise”.

DL Walker has over 20 years’ experience in physical therapy, exercise physiology, massage, neurophysiology, athletic training and alternative medicine.

She holds 2 Bachelor of Science degrees majoring in Physical Therapy and Fitness/Cardiac Rehab respectively, and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science. She has been credentialed as a Health Coach and Certified Functional Manual Therapist.

She founded Fun Fitness Physical Therapy, PC, in 1999 where she provided home health rehabilitation services to senior patients for 10 years. She has developed a unique fall prevention program, which is currently used by a New York City Home Health Agency. She developed and implemented a research study to determine the effects of physical therapy and exercise on falls, for a major NYC senior services supplier.

She has taught post professional continuing education on Balance Enhancement, Fall Prevention, Foot, Ankle, and Pelvis. As well as classes for individuals on how to resolve their; Bunions, Tailor’s Bunions, Heel Pain and Hammer Toes. 

She specializes in health and sports performance enhancement and injury prevention through an integrated approach that includes education, counsel, and exercise to foster resilience and optimize function. 

She has worked as Strength and Conditioning Coach for the US Olympic Committee, Personal Trainer for the Sports Training Institute in NYC, and Exercise Physiologist for the Saint Francis Hospital, New York.

She was part of a development team at the US Olympic Education Centre, to create sport specific exercise programs for Olympic level athletes.

Her work has been published in a number of news sources and she currently has a YouTube channel, FixuonlineTV with videos that have been viewed over a million times by people all over the world.
